5 ways to connect with your customers during lockdown
Unsure how to connect with your customers/potential clients during lockdown?
Here are a few simple tips:
1. Post relatable content
We’re all feeling it and your customers want to see how you are coping too! Make them feel seen and let them know you’re thinking of them during this time.
2. Keep marketing emails short and to the point
I don’t know what your email inbox looks like, but mine is overflowing with sales and offers. Capture their attention without overwhelming them.
3. Don’t apologise
I see this A LOT! Especially when shipping is delayed. Everything has slowed down and become more difficult during this period, so just keep it light and let them know what is happening without making it seem like it’s your fault (unless you’ve done something wrong, then you should own up to it!).
4. Keep content positive and light (if possible!)
Most of us are feeling quite heavy and a bit lost at the moment. We don’t have the energy to absorb other heavy things. Use this as a chance to pick up their spirits just for a few seconds and see the good that continues in the world! If your business is struggling, ask your clients/customers to help you out – whether they can write a review, share your content with others or buy gift cards for when you are back up and running.
5. And lastly, take breaks
The world seems like a big pile of doo-doo at the moment. It can be just too much sometimes. Log off, rest and recharge every now and again. The time away might even spark your creativity!
